In the VPN Concentrator gui, when you click on Monitoring | System Status the concentrator shows the following value:
VPN Concentrator Type:30XX
What in the concentrator sets this value?
The upgrades to higher level concentrator models all appear to consist of memory, SEP, and power supply upgrades. I don't see how the "Concentrator Type" value mentioned above would change if I only upgrade these options. I'm trying to fully understand the differences between the models.
The Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrator is available in five different models: 3005, 3015, 3030, 3060 and 3080. Of these, the 3005 does not have built-in upgrade capability, but 3015 is field-upgradable to the Cisco VPN 3030 and 3060 models. To read more about the differences use the following link which also gives a comparison chart of all the models.
