We have an office in Italy that is having problems with the vpn3002 public interface loosing ethernet connectivity after 5-15 minutes. The site has a DSL connection with static ip addressing. We have tried a couple of DSL modems with the latest being a Cisco 827. We have tried two different VPN 3002's and code versions 3.6.7 and 4.0.1. The public ethernet drops entirely, not just the tunnel. Rebooting the 3002 brings it back up tunnel and all for another 5-15 minutes, but then it drops again. The site was previously connected to and with Nortel VPN equipment without any issues.
Has anyone run into any similar problems with 3002's?
Thanks,
Don

Sounds like an ethernet autonegotiation problem. What is the public int. plugged into? If it is a managed switch, you might want to hard code that port to be 100 megabit, full duplex, and also hard code the 3002's public int to be the same.
