VPN 3005 DNS query

Hi

I have a VPN concentrator behind a firewall. Users connect to the concentrator using windows 2000 pptp client. Once connected the can ping everything fine. from an ipconfig you can see that they have the right DNS servers from the dhcp pool.

However when you try a nslookup it cannot find the servers, but you can ping them. Is there an easy fix to this or do I need host files on the clients.?
