Re: VPN 3030 Concentrator - Default gateway & Tunnel default gat

Hi,

The VPN 3000 needs to have a default Gateway normally to the internet. Maybe the clients (terminated VPN sessions on the concentrator) should have a default gateway to the internal network or somewhere else.

Thats it.

Just to clarify what the previous poster said, the default gateway is used by the concentrator to route packets usually to the Internet.

The TDG is used as a default gateway for any encrpyted traffic that comes in from clients, L2L tunnels, etc. You would only use the TDG if you have a router on the inside of your concentrator that connects to the rest of your internal network. You don't have to specify a TDG if you only have a flat network on the inside of the concentrator, or you can specify static routes for your internal networks pointing to the inside router also.
