When connecting to the concentrator running 3.6.1 client and server, users on an XP operating system are unable to use the DNS servers within the tunnel. When doing an IPCONFIG, the internet DNS servers are replaced with the corporate address, but name resolution does not work. Also the corporate domain suffix is not pushed down to the client. This feild in the IPCONFIG is blank.
This works fine on win NT operating system running older client software version.
Any suggestions,
Thanks Pat

Hi,
Try simply stopping and starting the DNSclient service. See if the the search list is populated and all name resolution starts working correctly.

Thanks. That worked. Any ideas why this is not happening automatically. This workaround is great for me, but my 500 end users we are planning to migrate to XP won't like this.
Also, any way to get the NT login script to run after the tunnel is connected. While on the lan this happens when logging into the desktop. Obvioulsly remotely the user logs into the desktop prior to accessing the network.
Thanks again,
Pat
