I have the folowing issue:
We have a wireless network, where you get initial DHCP and DNS that wont let u go anywhere but to the download page to get the VPN client.
New Toshibas.
Ghost it with new Win XP image
Work perfect everywhere on campus, but at one specific builidng (Law School). Problem is that first DNS settings (it's a fake dns) do not release when VPNing in. Even after VPNing in, a DNS lookup shows old DNA settings, NOT the tunnel DNS ones. Solution: Move LAN connection with Cisco Adapter (LAN2,or 3, etc) to the top of Connections List under Windows's Network Connections-Advanced Settings-Adapter and Bindings. All working fine after that.
The only difference is that in that building they use their own initial DNS and DHCP server. We use Bind, they use Microsoft. Any ideas? Is there anyway to tell the VPN client to install the Cisco VPN adapter on the top of the list?
Thanks,
