VPN ,ACS and net view error

I have a ACS server which I can ping by ip address and by name. But when I do net view of that machine it gives an error of "System error 53 has occurred.

The network path was not found.".

Has any one seen such a problem. Please advice

Re: VPN ,ACS and net view error

When you do net view you are actually trying to browse the domain. So if you are not logged in to the domain, this is the error you would get. Make sure you are logged on to the domain, either by using start before logon, or making sure you have the right cached credentials for the domain.

Re: VPN ,ACS and net view error

The machine is logged in to the domain.

Re: VPN ,ACS and net view error

I am referring to the vpn client, should be logged on to the domain.

Also, how is the vpn client getting an address? Is it getting an ip address the same subnet as the ACS server or somewhere else? You would also need some machine acting as a master browser on the same subnet as the

vpn client ip addr (the internal subnet it gets when it connects). Also, try to

enable on the vpn client the start before logon feature, restart the machine and see if it could see the domain server then and log the vpn client user.
