I have a question about creating a VPN between a PIX and Checkpoint firewall. I am trying to connect two sites and am not sure if the once the tunnel is formed if it will use the NATed address or a local LAN addresses. I believe its the local address but i am not sure.
Once the tunnel gets established and you have made sure that the IPSec traffic doesn't get NATted (using NAT 0 on the PIX, and something similar on the Checkpoint). Generally NAT applies before the IPSec process, hence if you don't want to NAT the IPSec traffic then use NAT 0 to bypass it.
