Hi,
I have an IPSec VPN setup between PIX (ver6.1) and Concentrator. But I am experiencing delays as high as 2000ms. Without VPN it is 500ms. How can I reduce the delay. I am planning to use a accelerator card in PIX. Will this solve my problem (atleast to some extend) ? Do I need to configure anything on Concentrator to reduce the delay?
Thanks for the help
regards
Silju

You have to first confirm what causes the delay.
I am not sure what you mean by "without vpn it is 500ms", what and how are you trying to communicate between the two networks without vpn?
The hardware encryption would assist the pix in proccesing encryption. But again, if it is not the issue, you might not fix the real problem.
If you ping with varying lengths, see if the transmission is any faster?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Before the VPN setup we were using public address for the servers at both end. Then the delay was 500ms. I am going for an accelerator card in the PIX. After that I will check whether the delay is reduced.
Thanks once again,
