VPN client 3.6.3 for XP discard packet.

I have a Pix 515E wih Pix OS 6.2(2). Configured for VPN client and tested with a Win98 with VPN client ver 3.6.3. No problem.

Then, i tried with a Win XP (home edition) laptop by installing the same VPN client software. After started VPN dialier, I opened the statistic box and saw packet to Pix 515E IP was encryted (as expected) but when I tried to establish connection to LAN behind PIX, all the packets been discard by VPN client.

What could posisbily wrong?

Re: VPN client 3.6.3 for XP discard packet.

Hi,

Kindlyt check out the following in this scenario:

* Make sure you are not coming in from behind a PAT device on this client.

* Make sure this is not a machine specific issue.

* Have you tried Win XP Professional edition, as the Home edition has had some issues in the past, though unlike what you are seeing

* What is different in this case then the Win 98 machine

Kindly let us know,

Thanks,

Aamir

In fact, I found this problem exsist to 98 pc as well. All PCs. using dialup. What I did was, i disable split tunnel, then problem goes away. I wonder the split tunnel not working properly. But thank for you advice anyway. It will be better if the split tunnel works.
