VPN client 4.0, PIX 515 and Windows XP ( This don´t work!)

When I make an tunnel Ipsec with PIX 515, the Corporate Messenger don´t pass the Voice traffic on the XP side (Where is installed the VPN client).

This same situation works fine on Windows 2000 Workstation.

There are any workaround to this problem ???

´

If I use the PPTP VPN client (NATIVE on the XP), all services works fine.

Please, I need help !!!!!

Re: VPN client 4.0, PIX 515 and Windows XP ( This don´t work!)

If your Corporate Messenger is the Windows Messenger then the problem is not with your Cisco devices/software. Rather it has to do with the way in which the Windows Messenger has been designed. It does not work through a NAT'd device, which in this case would be the 515 that you are using. Problems might be seen when negotiating an audio or video session. Please see the microsoft website for more indormation (http://www.microsoft.com/WINDOWSXP/pro/techinfo/deployment/natfw/default.asp).

Re: VPN client 4.0, PIX 515 and Windows XP ( This don´t work!)

thank for your anwser.

The article from microsoft, don´t be applied on VPN connections.

When in the VPN enviroment, we don´t use NAT (NAT 0 rules).

Using the VPN client 4.0.x, we use the IP from Virtual Adapter. This were an great problem for Microsoft RDP protocols and others.

It Seens a compatibility problem from Windows XP and CPN client 4.0.x.

In the same situation, but using Microsoft Windows 2000, all services works fine.
