I have a Cisco VPN Client v5.0.00.0340 which is blocking inbound connections even when no VPN connection is established. This has disabled certain network apps we use locally. If I kill the cvpnd.exe process in Task Manager, the app works fine. How can I allow inbound connections through the integrated Cisco VPN Client firewall?
We have a optional configuration called Stateful firewall. When enabled, this feature allows no inbound sessions from all networks, whether or not a VPN connection is in effect. Try disabling it either by going to VPN Client under the Options menu or while the VPN Client is active by right-clicking on the VPN Client icon and selecting the option. Check if this works.
