I have tried to use the VPN Client 3.5.2C-K9 for our IPAQ Pocket PC 2002 and it said device wasnt supported. Is there a client version that will work on Pocket PC 2002?

Movian has one. http://www.movianvpn.com. Works well.

Thanks. I already have Movian. I wanted to know if there was a Cisco version of that would work since we already have a contract with them.

There is a builtin PPTP client on the Pocket PC 2002 device. Under Start:Settings:Connections:Connections. Then Work Settings:Modify:VPN tab at bottom.

Ben

There is also a 3rd-party IPsec based product called movianVPN from Certicom...http://www.certicom.com/products/movian/movianvpn_tech.html

What kind of network card are you using this with. We are trying to get it to work with a Sierra Wireless 555 and not having much luck. I have PPTP working fine with win2k but no luck with the IPAQ.

We were using a demo of the new Sierra Wireless 550.

The trouble we ran into was using the VPN that comes installed in Pocket PC 2002. We are looking into Movian now, but our CIO wants it to work without any extra clients. I would glad to share any information we find that works well.

We are also testing the movian VPN client and it works quite well. The problem we are incountering is purchasing a licence for it. Certicom will not sell less than 50 licences and does not yet have a reseller to accomodate organization that only need a few. One other client we looked at was the Funk Admit One client though it did not meet our security needs on its inital release.
