VPN client and VPN site to site configuration

Hi

I have 2 sites connected by an IPSEC VPN (using pix firewalls) and one of the pix (Site 1) accepts connections from pptp clients.

Is it possible for the pptp clients connected to site 1 to access site 2 using the site to site vpn ?

Thank you

Fred

Re: VPN client and VPN site to site configuration

Hi Fred,

Unfortunately, if the PIX firewalls are doing the Site to Site VPN's, then it won't be possible for the PPTP clients to go through the IPSec VPN tunnel, as the PIX doesn't allow traffic out the same interface it was recieved on (due to the firewallness nature it has to live by). If it were a Router though then you could have gotten this to work for you.

Regards,

Aamir

Re: VPN client and VPN site to site configuration

Is this possible with VPN 3005 boxes?

E.g:

A - B -- C

Where A and B are 3005 with ipsec tunnel established and C is a VPN client.

Would it be possible for C to access the LAN on A side over the tunnel?
