VPN Client and Windows 98

Has anyone had problems installing the VPN client on any computer using Windows 98??? I've installed it on a bunch with Windows 2000, but on 98, it will connect, confirm, and then hang... If you click cancel, its theoretically on the network, but won't show the little lock in the taskbar and give out an error message. Is there a different version of software??? I think I'm using 3.1
