HI all

Here is my problem. Windows 2000 sp4 with remote desktop from WinXP installed, connects to a Terminal Server with no problem. Install VPN Client Version 4 and the windows machine will not connect to the Terminal Server. Uninstall VPN client and the Windows machine will still not connect to the Terminal server. Reinstall Windows and then the machine will connect to Terminal Server. What is it that the VPN client does not unistall apart from the Registry Entries HKLM\Software\Cisco Systems\VPN Client..... HKLM\Software\Derministic Networks......

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall\{5624c000-b109-11d4-9db4-00e0290fcac5}.... DNE200.sys in system root\system32\drivers, DNE2000m.inf and dne2000m.pnf dneinobj.dll

Michael,

Try running the mtu utility that comes with the vpn client and set your MTU sizes back to the default 1500 before uninstalling the Cisco vpn client.

If this fix's your problem try setting to several different mtu sizes to see if something between 1350 and 1300 will allow your terminal sessions to work.
