VPN-Client authentication with Novell NDS

I´m looking for a way of authenticating remote VPN clients against Novell NDS.

The built in method in NDS is to use LDAP, but I don´t think either the PIX nor the Concentrator handles LDAP ?

So, that leaves RADIUS as an option, which requires adding the Novell Border Manager Authentication module to the server for that to work...?..

Has anyone set up this type of configuration, with a PIX or Concentrator against NDS ?

Both support RADIUS so this should work. You might verify with Cisco to be sure it’s supported.

We have a VPN3015 and we are doing just that, throught the Novell BorderManager Radius server. If you want to assign your authenticated users to specific groups though you will need to create the groups locally on the concentrator and assign the "General/Class" Radius attribut in the Novell User ID with the corresponding group name, syntaxe is very important (OU=groupename;)
