VPN client causes WIN 98 to boot in safe mode

When I install the VPN 3000 client it causes the Windows 98 to boot up in safe mode. I have had this happen on three different machines. I have installed the client on several WIN 98 machines with no problems. I have tried updated windows, I have udated the drivers, I have used 2.5.2A. Has anyone seen this.

I had some problems with a dialer program on a couple machines and AOL on a couple. I just uninstalled those & the VPN client, rebooted, reinstalled the client and then AOL. Worked fine! My theory is uninstall and reinstall and it almost always solves the problem.

FYI: The dialer program never worked with the VPN client.

If that all looks good, you better call Cisco.
