VPN client connection and then lost ip connectivity

For testing, I VPN out from my LAN to my concentrator. I have noticied that after I disconnect I can no longer ping any IP addresses but I still can get on the network and access resources. I reboot my computer and still cannot ping anything. I receive a DHCP IP address everytime and have a reservation for when I am on the LAN.

Is there something causing problems when I VPN in and am on the LAN?

Thanks

If I got it right, the user cannot access local resources after having connected to the remote concentrator. This problem usually has to do with release of IP addresses. More information about the same can be obtained at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/products_configuration_example09186a008009442f.shtml.
