VPN client disregarding MTU setting

I am unable to connect using the Cisco VPN client because my network drops fragmented packets. I used setMTU.exe to set the ethernet adapter MTU to 1500 and the VPN adapter MTU to 1200. However, the packets are still 1514 bytes and are still being fragmented. I have tried a number of different MTU settings, but when trying to connect to the VPN server, fragmented packets are still being sent and therefore, dropped by my network.

It appears that the VPN client is disregarding the VPN adapter's MTU size. Any suggestions on how to prevent fragmentation?

I am using VPN client version 4.7.00.0533.

Hi,

Are you sure you are changing the MTU for the right adaptor. With ssetMTU utility, all the adaptors are listed, you have to change the MTU on VPN Client Adaptor.
