VPN Client error 56 on Windows ME

I have a client running off a Windows ME workstation and I installed the VPN client version 4.6.04.043 but when I try to open the program I get ERROR 56 which referencing a service not started. Please Advise.

You can check with following steps to resolve the issues:

- upgrade or downgrade the vpn client

- uninstall the vpn client and zone alarm and try to install agiain to recheck it.

- Change the OS, it should work for higher version like Win - 2k, XP

My company just switched to Cisco VPN Client (same version) and we have both W2K and XP SP2. For the most part, the apps works fine. But there are a handful that we get Error 56 - Service is not started. The service is set to Automatic. If we manually start the service, Cisco VPN works fine.

A solution to this problem would be most helpful.
