VPN Client Problem

A remote user on our network is having problems with the Cisco VPN. They are using Win XP, Cisco Client 3.5.2, and connect through a Compaq Ipaq router into a cable modem. When they VPN into our 3000 Concentrator the VPN works fine. When they attempt to VPN into the PIX on our other network, it says the client is no longer responding. If they use a Microsoft VPN to connect to the network with the 3000 (we run both MS and Cisco VPN's) with it set to use the remote, default gateway the Cisco VPN will connect to the PIX, see the network behind the PIX, ping stuff behind the PIX, but not map a drive. The remote user can ping the PIX from their remote location unVPNed. No other user has a problem connecting to the PIX (except for the ones with bad dialup or satellite broadband that can't VPN into anything anyway). We even have a few AOLer's connecting to it. Help me please.

If the compaq ipaq router is doing a PAT, that could possibly be the problem. Pix can not handle ipsec clients that went through pat. The vpn3000 has some mechanism to deal with this. PPTP is different to ipsec.

You need to make sure the ipsec client has it's own public routable ip address.
