VPN Client Says "status: Disconnected"

I made some operating system upgrades recently and now my Cisco VPN Client is not working. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the client software. I have also tried multiple versions (4.5,4.7,4.8,5.0). Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

Which operating system are you using ? Does the client work with other systems running on the older OS ?

If you are using Vista, you must goto http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/windows

and download vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.00.0090-k9-beta.exe (CCO Access Required)

If you are using windows, you must also see if the Cisco Systems Virtual VPN adaptor is installed in your network connections successfully.
