VPN Client service causing Windows LAN disconnections

Hi,

I have a 4.8.01.0300 client installed on a WinXP SP2 machine, speaking with a VPN3000 Concentrator and its all working fine using the VPN. My client is complaining however that when using the machines with the client installed on their local lan, they get continual disconnection notices from their offline files and synch failures. If we manually stop the cvpnd.exe service, the issue goes away. Setting the service to manual and starting the service instantly brings the issue back again.

Has anyone seen this issue before or know a fix?

Thanks

Hi,

Please check if the stateful firewall is enabled or disabled. Please make sure that it is disabled. To check, start the VPN client application and goto options. There you should see Stateful Firewall. It should be unchecked.

HTH,

Kamal
