VPN Client weirdness

I have a user who is connecting via VPN to a 2800 series router. One day the VPN client started acting weird. After initializing the software, the VPN window would pop up for 3 seconds (start the initiation process) and then collapse with the bottom tool bar window showing window with disconnected status. Cannot get the program to open after that.

I uninstalled that version and upgraded to 4.8.01.0300. This version worked for about two weeks and is now doing the same thing. Any ideas?
