VPN CLIENT WITH WINS ISSUES

I am having trouble using wins when using vpn client. when checking ipconfig /all it shows that wins over tcp/ip is disabled although i have enabled it on the dial up adapter.

has anyone else had this issue and is there something on the pix that needs enabling or is it just on the client?

i'm using windows xp/2000 as the vpn client.

the problem was that client for microsoft networking was not ticked in the dial up adapter. when this is ticked all worked fine.
