VPN Client3.6.3B through NAT device to c1710 - no payload

Hello.

I want to use the VPN Client 3.6.3B terminating the tunnel at an c1710 IOS 12.2(13)T with an PAT/NAT device in between (also a Cisco router). From the release notes it should work with this versions but I get no payload through the tunnel. I can just establish a tunnel when I switch off the default settings "Enabling Transparent Tunneling" on the client options. Only with this setting the tunnel comes up correctly. But when I want to send payload through the tunnel it doesn't work. In the CCO I found that I don't have to configure something on router and client side, but it does not work. Maybe you can help me.

Best regards

Dirk

The client and the router will suppot NAT-T in your setup, so it should work through the router that is NAT'ing. You do need to configure NAT-T on the 1710 though, it doesn't just work by default. The config guide is here for this new feature:

Great! Thank for the information. Now it works!
