VPN Cluster IP address

I setup a VPN cluster between two 3005 and everything seems to be working correctly, but I can not ping the IP address that I assigned to the cluster. I'm not sure if I will be able to ping this address or if it will only respond to the client trying to initiate a request. Can anyone tell me if I should be able to ping this address and if not why? Thanks!!

Well I was able to answer my own question....you can not ping the cluster IP address. It will only respond to the VPN client, and then it will only respond to version 3.0 and later.
