VPN Concentrator 3002

Hello everyone,

Can you backup a VPN Concentrator's running-configuration to a TFTP server. Our company is using VPN Concentrator 3002 series. If it's possible to do this, can you use telnet and CLI command to do this or you must have to use the GUI. Any help you may offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: VPN Concentrator 3002

You can save CONFIG or CONFIG.BAK files which are basically the only two configuration files you can save to tftp or or pool from a tftp server.

Go over this link for vpn file management

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2284/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00800bd92e.html.

You can do the same by telneting to concentrator inside interface assigned IP address by picking options

2,7 and last option 4 for backing up to TFTP or 5 to restored or get CONFIG from tftp

1) Configuration

2) Administration

3) Monitoring

4) Save changes to Config file

5) Help Information

6) Exit

vpn3000: Main ->

1) Administer Sessions

2) Software Update

3) System Reboot

4) Reboot Status

5) Ping

6) Access Rights

7) File Management

8) Certificate Management

9) Back

vpn3000: Main ->

List of Files

-------------

SAVELOG.TXT MEMORY.TXT CONFIG CONFIG.BAK

1) Delete File

2) Copy File

3) View File

4) Put File via TFTP

5) Get File via TFTP

6) Swap Config Files

7) Export XML File

8) Import XML File

9) Back

Re: VPN Concentrator 3002

Instead of having to log into the concentrator to get the config, is there another way to remotely grab the config.txt file?

Re: VPN Concentrator 3002

You may need something like Cisco Security Manager.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6498/index.html

or perhaps 3rd party software like solarwinds configuration manager which works across many platforms . but not sure you may need to explore with their demo trial
