VPN Concentrator 3005 versus 3015

According to Cisco data sheet, one of the differences between VPN concentrator 3005 and 3015 is that 3005 is not upgradable and 3015 is. According to the same data sheet I see that with both models encryption is done in software. So, if I install SEP module into 3015 (it is upgradable), I get hardware encryption, right?

Re: VPN Concentrator 3005 versus 3015

Hi Sasa,

Your understanding of the subject is totally correct. If we place a SEP module in the 3015, then we call it the 3030 (3015 w/SEP module). Thats the only difference between the 3015 & 3030.

Hope this makes it clear,
