What software version will be the best ?

How Can Win2K clients connect to the network ?

It’s hard to make a software recommendation without knowing all the options you wish to run. You should use the IOS upgrade planner (http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/Iosplanner/Planner-tool/iosplanner.cgi?) to determine your needs.

Configured properly, W2k and 9x clients can access network resources through a VPN tunnel. There are a number of options. PPTP is the least secure (there are other conversations on this forum about that) but still commonly used. Ipsec clients are available for Win 9x clients.

Check out Cisco's TAC online. They have numerous config examples (www.cisco.com/tac).
