VPN newbie... troubleshooting 'remote peer is no longer responding' issue
Setup and tested a VPN 3000 concetrator in house -- hooked up shared hub to 'public' int.; 'private' int connected to Cat switch; plugged a laptop into shared hub; successfully tunneled to our network resources via IPSec. Next step is realworld testing...
- ISP is has provide publically registered IP address
- ISP is NAT'ing public IP address to valid internal address
- ISP opened TCP port 50 and UDP port 17 on their firewall
When trying to connect, I get 'remote peer is no longer responding' error message on 3.5.1 VPN client. Any suggestions on what to look at first or troubleshooting processes to try would be MUCH appreciated.
