VPN over a VPN connection

I have a Cisco ASA appliance that I am using for VPN termination from the Internet. Internal on my network I also have another ASA appliance which firewalls a network with sensitive data. Is there a way to allow Internet users to VPN to the Internet facing ASA appliance then launch another VPN to the internal ASA so they can reach this internal sensitive network over VPN?

Re: VPN over a VPN connection

Once your clients connect via VPN to first ASA, they cannot run the same client software (Say cisco vpn client) to run another vpn session to the internal ASA. Instead you can give them VPN access to the internal ASA directly by having a static and ACL configured on the first ASA (internet facing) to bypass all VPN traffic coming from Internet clients going to the ASA on the inside. This might not be a very secure solution though.
