VPN over Cisco 800 series routers

I currently have about 18 801 /803 routers connecting through ISDN to an 3620 router. I am looking to replace this arrangement with a VPN solution. I want to try and keep the same hardware at the branch offices and to change the 3620 router. Can the 801/803 routers support VPN and if so how do I go about it?

Re: VPN over Cisco 800 series routers

Hi,

801 and 803 routers can support DES and 3DES IPSEC VPN:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/rt/800/prodlit/isrdd_ds.htm

But VPN need running over internet links such as Modem,ADSL, ISDN, T1 and so on, you still try to get internet connection at first ,then running VPN on top of it.

Best Regards,
