vpn over direcway

Anybody had success, with getting apps to run over direcway satellite, the vpn tunnel comes up fine, client 3.5 to 3030 3.5. But apps timout. Latency is very high, 800ms avg. ping time. I've set the mtu 10 1300 on the client, and the peer response time on the client to the max 480. Also enabled keepalives on the 3030. Any thoughts, or is the latency just to great.

Hi,

A couple of things to try here. Firstly use the v3.6 client or higher as there were some significant improvements in MTU adjustments starting that client release. Additionally make sure to have the MTU lowered across the tunnel at the other site aswell, for the return packets not to be fragmented aswell. Hopefully these would improve the latency.
