VPN slows local program launch

I am running VPN Client 5.0.03.0530. After the VPN client connects, launching any program on the local machine is very slow (approx 10 seconds). Once up, the program runs fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try by upgrading the Cisco VPN client and see.

is split tunneling enabled on the vpn or not?

if it is not, this might be a dns / active director issue.

the computer(s) having the problem, are they part of a windows AD domain?

is split tunneling/split DNS enabled on the vpn?
