VPN Solution

Hi everyone.

We are thinking of connecting two branch offices using VPN through Internet access(each one using their different ISP). Each branch has a 3745 router with a IOS Version 12.2(8)T5. Does anyone know if it is possible to configure these routers to provide this solution?

If so, does anyone know any document/text in Cisco' site that can guide us on how to configure it?

Thanks all in advance,

Marcelle.

Re: VPN Solution

do a show version to see what exact IOS version you are running , as well as flash and RAM totals. That is definitely enough router to run an IPSec capable version of IOS, but it might be possible that those units might not have enough ram and or flash for such IOS images.

is an IOS to IOS tunnel config

Thanks for your help!

The following is the show version display. This router would be the HUB and it'd have up to 6 SPOKES in the future. Do you have an idea if the memory below is enough for this configuration?

The Cisco Feature Navigator II reports that that image already has 3des support on it. So, you do not need to worry about the IOS on that router. Are the other ones identical?

Re: VPN Solution

Actually, I am not sure yet. I haven't talked to the others administrators(on the "spoke" side)yet. We are still gathering information and analysing how we could connect them to the main site using the Internet.

Thank you for your help - the text you mentioned has been very helpful.
