VPN using pix 515

Hi,

I have set up a VPN using a PIX 515E and it all works fine. What I am finding is that the users can make a connection to a share on one of my servers, but they are having to supply user name and password for that resource. As they are being seen as a unknown user to the server.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to have a windows network logon come up once you have logged onto a vpn. So that they only have to authenticate once to access server resources!? And what commands I need to use to look at to get this to work!

Thanks

Dave

Re: VPN using pix 515

A few questions

1. PPTP or IPSEC VPN?

2. Are all the Windows OS the same?

If you are talking Win2k clients with a PPTP VPN do the following:

1. Add their home machine to the domain while connected to the VPN.

2. Reboot the computer and select "Logon using Dial-up connection" at the prompt and use their domain username/password to Logon.

3. Once you hit OK, select the VPN connection to access your VPN.

4. Once the connection is made, you will logon to the domain and run a batch script if one is set for the user.

5. Once you logon to the domain, you gain a security token that allows access to all resources without username/password prompt. Let me know more specifics if this does not resolve your question.
