VPN with overlapping network

lanA <--> pixA <--vpn--> pixB <--> lanB

<--vpn--> pixC <--> lanC

<--vpn--> pixD <--> lanD

.

.

.

<--vpn--> pixZ <--> lanZ

says there is a management server at lanA, nodes at other lan will send snmp to it for monitoring purposes. however, as more customers come onboard, more network will be overlapped. it could be lanB and lanC got the some network address or it could be lanZ overlapping lanA. how should we deal with it?

thanks in advance.

Re: VPN with overlapping network

Hi,

You could use this feature that is available on the PIX 6.2 and later versions. Also there is a sample configuration with a PIX to CVPN3000, but the configuration on the PIX will be the same

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/vpn_pix_private.html

Hope this helps,

R,

Arthur

Re: VPN with overlapping network

thanks for your response.

1. the static statement traslate private to private, what happen to the internet? does it mean i have to get another range of public ip?

2. if we have already got 40 different peers on the core pix, doesn't it mean we have to modify every peer pix?
