Looks like IOS presently supports VRRP with simple text password authentication, only. Can someone from development comment on when we might see the stronger IP Authentication Header variant for VRRP security in IOS?
You are right as for the current VRRP with simple text password authentication. MD5 Encryption supported VRRP version 2 will be incorporated in the IOS around 2nd half of 2003.
