VTP config - where is it? (6500 - hybrid)

We currently have 5500's to the floors where the

users are located, and two 6500's in our core. I

can see the VTP config commands on the 5500's by

using the "show config" command. Where can I find

those commands on the 6500? Is there a file that

tells the 6500 that it is the server for VTP? The

6500 runs IOS (hybrid) and when I do a "show run"

command, I see all of the VLAN config commands, but

I don't see the "vtp server", or "vtp domain"

commands. If I do a "show VTP stat" command, I

can see the switch is operating in "server" mode,

and I can see the domain. I just have no idea

where the 6500 pulls this config if it's not in the

startup-config.... Any help explaining would be

greatly appreciated.... I know this is probably an

easy question answer, but for the life of me, I

can't find it....

Chris,

I think you posted your question into the wrong discussiongroup, but let me see if I can help.

The configuration of VTP is stored within the vlan databse on a 6500 IOS platform. You can go into the vlan databse by entering the following command from the enable prompt:

6500# vlan database

Then you can show VTP information and configure VTP settings. Use ? to see what commands are available.

Hope this helps,

Leo
