Websense vs N2H2

Hi,

We are considering deploying either Websense or N2H2 to be used in conjunction with PIX Firewall (6.2).

Are there any pros\cons against each product ? Which one is cheaper ?

We are mostly interested in Logging\Monitoring the Accessed URL, source IP Address and the Windows Username.

Are there any other products that can do this ?

Regards,

Naman

Re: Websense vs N2H2

HI.

I can think of 5 types of solutions that can do that, each in a different way, and each with pros and cons:

* A URL filter server like Websense or N2H2.

* Using "aaa" features of the pix with at RADIUS/TACACS+ server.

* A proxy server (traditional proxy, transparent, or content filter configurred as proxy).

* Using syslog with a software/script to analyze the output.

* A sniffer configurred for your specific needs.

I don't know what kind of solution will be best for you, that's your job.

I don't have experience with either websense or n2h2 so I cannot answer about that.
