what is the heart beat link down between 2 ASA?

we have 2 firewall connect via dedicated link and ruuning A/S, my uqestion is, what is heartbeat link down, doea that cause the 2 ASA all active? in that case, our switch will send traffic to 2 firewall?

Under normal operation if it goes down, no the situation you describe will not happen "our switch will send traffic to 2 firewall". However if they reboot, both units will become active. Have a look at this table:

For best results I always put a switch between the failover interfaces. If you use a crossover Ethernet cable then one unit going down also takes down the partner unit's failover interface. This can confuse the failover process and give you strange results.
