I currently use a PIX firewall and need to get a book to learn more about it.
I have this book lined up:
CCSP Cisco Secure Pix Firewall Advanced Exam Certification Guide

The current PIX firwall book is an orange soft back book called "Cisco ASA and PIX Firewall Handbook" It will proably have the most up to date information.

Here is my 2 cents.
I was left wanting more by the Cisco ASA and PIX Firewall Handbook. It didn't cover the ASA or the PIX in enough depth to suit me.
If you need a book on the PIX I would look at:
Cisco PIX Firewalls (Paperback)
by Charles Riley (Editor), Umer Khan, Michael Sweeney
It covers version 7.0 and includes plenty of examples.
I would only use the CCSP book regarding the PIX if I were taking the PIX exam.
Please don't forget that looking at the TAC certified examples on CCO and posting questions to this forum are also fine ways to learn about the PIX.
Hope this helps.
