Hi, I suggest you to go

Hi,

I suggest you to go through the release notes of both the versions before you proceed.

for 8.6.1

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa84/release/notes/asarn86.html#wp81861

for 9.1

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa91/release/notes/asarn91.html#pgfId-614224

Because any of the specific function you use might be an caveats here. So it worth reading the release notes before you.

But as far as i see both the OS are suggested by cisco as an preferred one.

Suggested ASA SW:

9.1.2

9.0.3

8.6.1

With respect to caveats 8.6.1 is considered as an stable one which has very few unresolved caveats.
