Why is ECMP supported using ospf but not static routes on a pix?
I would like to load balance between a pix (w/ fail over) to two BGP routers running multiple HSRP groups connecting to two ISPs. Having this feature would add the missing component of scalability to my redundant network. It would be very simple to add default gateway routes to leverage both ISP connections. Unfortunately, the Pix does not support this feature (confirmed with TAC). They do support the use of OSPF in this context. I would be interested in any feedback on this issue aside from running OSPF on the pix-router transport. Thanks.
