I have a VPN configuration (PIX 501; OS 6.2; PDM 2.0 ;VPN client 3.5)
and all works in dialup and local ethernet connections.
Over cable modens they does not work.
should I use PPPoE ?

Hi,
If you are trying to terminate the VPN on the PIX from the VPN client coming in from behind a Cable Modem, then its not possible a the IPSec/NAT feature is not supported for the PIX termination at this time.

We had some kinf of simular problem but I placed our IPSEC in a TCP/80 tunnel. ADSL and dial-up were working fine, but cable modems weren't working at all.
By changing the IPSEC tunnel to UPD/10000, all dial-up devices were able to create the tunnel ( they didn't install PPPOE )
