WIC-1ENET in 1720

Hi,

i have a Cisco 1720 with an empty wic slot. I have to install a single port ethernet WIC to connect two lans. The current IOS version is 12.0(7)T and the memory features are: 12288/4096 DRAM and 4Mb Flash. I would like to know which is the most appropiate IOS version, and if it is possible to upgrade memory to 32 DRAM and 8 flash in a 1720 to support the new hardware. Which modules do you recommend?

I looked at this about 4 months ago and the latest IOS I could find that supported the ETH-WIC card was c1700-is-mz.121-5.YB4.bin. Not sure if they rolled this into 12.2 or if it remained a special branch (YB)?

Hi, we have got a 1720 running with wic ethernet module.

but be careful with the ios version !! we had to try 3 different versions and only 1 worked ! c1700-k2o3sy7-mz.121-5.yb4.bin

So far as i know you can add a 16mb mem module into the 1720 (onboard is 16mb) but you have to replace the flash module for a 8mb .
