wich IOS for VPN??

hello,

I want to built a vpn network between two cisco 2600, wich running

12.2(5d)IOS version, so i want to upgrade my IOS for an IOS that support

IPSec and 3DES.but i don't understand the difference between :

S26CK9-12202 XN

S26CK9-12202 XN=

S26CK9-12202 XT

S26CK9-12202

i can't see the difference and how can i choose my IOS code??

Hi,

K9 means 3DES encrytion, K8 is DES (56 bit) encrytion.

As far as there is K9 in the feature set, you can use it to build up the IPSEC tunnel.

N means IPX. X means Frame-relay, x.25, H.323 and so on.

It depends on what you want to do with your router , then choose different feature set.
