You can configure win98 and win2k to be the VPN client with PIX515 using PPTP ( http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/110/pptppix.html ). And PIX515 with VPN client 3.5 works fine (as far as my experience goes) and there is no problem in assigning IP address to the VPN client from the IP Pool.
